Letter from the President: November professional development luncheons

I am always impressed at the breadth and depth of the talented public relations professionals we have here in Alaska and this month’s professional development luncheons feature some of the best.

Coming up on Nov. 3 in Fairbanks is Blood, Sweat & Tears: Applying a not-for-profit case study to business with Stacy Schubert, PRSA’s Financial Communicators Section Chair. On Nov. 15 in Anchorage is Happy Planniversary! with Meadow Bailey, APR, PRSA delegate; Heather Marron, PRSA Alaska Chapter board member; Craig Zematis, Spawn Ideas; and Nance Larsen, APR, Fellow PRSA, PRSA’s Board of Ethics and Professional Standards Chair.

Having recently attended PRSA’s International Conference in Boston, I am reminded once again of how strong the Alaska Chapter is. This month’s professional development speakers are one of the reasons why. I always jump at the chance to learn from the best. This month I hope you will as well.
