Len McLean Scholarship

PRSA Alaska formed the Leonard McLean Scholarship in 1983 to honor one of the founding members of our chapter and to recognize his local contributions to the advancement of the public relations profession.

The $1,500 scholarship has been given nearly each year since that time. Alaskans who are members of PRSSA and are full-time students studying public relations, journalism or communications are eligible. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, cumulative GPA in his/her major of 3.4, and demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in public relations.

Past recipients include Hannah Blankenship (2011), Cassidy Davis (2009), Jessica Rindlisbacher (2006), Leah Boltz (2004), Jinnie Nims (2002), Stacy Schubert (2001), Rachel Grenier (2000), Xan Alexander (1999) and Candis Tew Olmstead (1996).
