About Us
The PRSA Alaska Chapter was established in 1976 to connect communications professionals working in the Last Frontier. Today, PRSA Alaska includes nearly 200 members statewide, providing public relations practitioners and communicators with monthly luncheons, professional development seminars, webinars, career postings, education, awards recognition, accreditation preparation and more.
In Anchorage, monthly professional development programs are held the third Wednesday of every month at noon. PRSA Alaska Chapter members also meet in Fairbanks the fourth Monday of every month at noon.
PRSA Statement on Diversity
The PRSA Alaska Chapter embraces the uniquely diverse state in which it operates. The chapter celebrates all forms of diversity, whether it be race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. To make this true, the chapter must always back up these words with actions. It will be proactive in applying a D&I lens to all of its efforts – from membership outreach to content creation. A successful PRSA Chapter is one that is representative of its community and the people it serves. Through the work of the Diversity Committee and the chapter as a whole, PRSA Alaska is committed to that responsibility.
