A day in the life of the Director of External Affairs and Public Relations can look like:
Be accountable for setting the Association’s vision for Public Relations activities. Promote the Association through legislative, regulatory and media contacts aligning with the interests of the Association and our members. Use excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with various media outlets, legislative or elected officials, and develop and implement public relations strategies. Utilize exceptional oral and written communication skills to ensure that members and employees are well informed and connected to GVEA through timely, accurate and consistent communication. Foster a positive and professional corporate culture welcoming all individuals.
