The University of Alaska Anchorage, Division of Campus Services, seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic personality to oversee all aspects of the Alaska Airlines Center (AAC). The AAC is a stunning 196,000 square foot facility that seats up to 5,000 spectators in the main arena and is a cornerstone of the University of Alaska Anchorage campus for UAA students, staff, faculty, and the community. The facility offers 19 locker rooms; a 5,000 square foot strength and conditioning facility; three concession storefronts; 600 parking spaces; and an auxiliary gym that seats an additional 800 guests. Additionally, there are five arena suites adjacent to the Varsity Sports Grill restaurant venue–each with a view of the main arena. Since opening in 2014, the AAC was managed by a private-sector arena management company. In the wake of the COVID-19 campus closure in spring 2020, and through organizational restructuring, the AAC is now under the management of UAA’s Division of Campus Services.
