Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Communications Director, the Communications Manager develops and manages the public and media relations functions of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaiʻi, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) and its ancillary advocacy organization, Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA). This position will focus on media relations Alaska and Hawai’i as well as executive communications for key executive leadership positions.
Essential Functions:
The core responsibility of the Communications Manager is to serve as one of the primary media contacts for our organization, work in partnership with the Communications Team, support state-based advocacy teams, and advance the organization’s mission through traditional and emerging communications tools, tactics, and strategies.
