Seawolf 5th Line – Chief of Communications (Volunteer Role)
If you love hockey and telling stories, this opportunity will give you a front-row seat to one of the most exciting time sin UAA Hockey history.
The Seawolf 5th Line is looking for a Chief of Communications to help shape how fans, supporters and the community experience UAA Division I hockey. This volunteer leadership role is perfect for someone who enjoys communications, marketing, social media and being part of something that’s making a real impact.
You’ll be part of the team helping strengthen and grow Division I hockey at UAA while supporting the vision for a future community ice complex on campus. There are big things on the horizon and you’ll help tell the story every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the organization’s communications strategy
- Oversee our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok (with staff support)
- Develop weekly email messaging and newsletters
- Keep the website fresh and engaging
- Coordinate and edit stories for the website (with staff support)
- Support media day and other team events
- Provide marketing and communications support for fundraising campaigns, events and special initiatives
- Participate in committee meetings and help keep communication efforts moving forward
- Jump in on other communications and light marketing projects throughout the season
