About the Presenter

Karol Fink, MS, RDN, is chief for the State of Alaska section of Chronic Disease and Health Promotion. She is also the state’s main contact for large gatherings, sports, and community events during COVID-19.

While her real job is to ensure Alaskans live free from injury and the chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, many cancers, and poor oral health, associated with physical inactivity, poor nutrition, obesity and tobacco use, her COVID responsibilities include more. She was designated as the state’s main contact for large gatherings, sports and community events during COVID due to her 20 plus years of experience organizing recreational and high school sporting events, fundraising auctions and galas, professional conferences, and other community engagement events.
