Meet Yumi McCulloch, owner and chief executive officer for Jack Street Consulting. This long-time public sector PR professional has embraced several recent life changes, to include moving from her home town of Fairbanks to Eagle River, launching a new business, and transitioning from public sector to private sector.
During the first week of April 2022, Yumi concluded nearly three years of service as director of public relations for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Previously, she was a public information officer and executive assistant for 16 years with the Fairbanks Police Department.
“In my newly established consulting business, I guide organizations through various stages and aspects of business, such as communications, operations and executive processes,” said Yumi. “Each business has a unique set of staff, a specific vision and purpose, so I use my experience and knowledge to streamline their organization.”

How does membership in PRSA assist you?
In my past positions, I have been tasked with various job descriptions and duties at the same time which led me to have little time for networking and training. PRSA allowed me to quickly tap into a variety of resources very quickly and at any time of the day or night. I was able to connect with local PR professionals as well as nationwide.
PRSA’s members are professional, knowledgeable and very supportive and are the organizations best asset.
