How does membership in PRSA assisted you?

After several years in the U.S. Army, I struggled to find a career path in the civilian sector. I began taking JPC classes at UAA and realized that I love the work associated with public relations. I became a PRSA member while finishing my degree, and I cannot count how many times I have used it as a resource to complement my classes and applied it to the workplace.

I enjoy the on-demand trainings that are both relevant and on-trend to current events and issues. The PRSA Alaska Chapter’s CommEx and Aurora Awards are an excellent opportunity network with communication professionals throughout Alaska.

Thoughts on PRSA Alaska Volunteering

I have not yet volunteered. I would be interested in future opportunities.
