Member Spotlight: Lisa Laiti

Meet Lisa Laiti, Communications Specialist for Doyon, Limited, the Alaska Native regional corporation for the Interior. This Fairbanks hometown talent has some educational chops with bachelor’s and master’s degrees earned from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Before joining Doyon in October 2022, Lisa acquired marketing and engagement skills while working for her alma mater. With such skills and lifelong community insight, she continues to level up as a communicator.

Job Responsibilities: “My role is responsible for planning and organizing the Doyon, Limited social media accounts and website to engage our shareholders and inform the public of upcoming events and deadlines. I also work with the communications team to create content for various departments within our organization, including photos, videos, graphics, and newsletters, among other tasks.”

Hometown: Fairbanks

Education: Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) in 2021. She completed her bachelor’s degree from UAF in 2019.

How does membership in PRSA assist you? “I’m taking advantage of all the opportunities PRSA offers to expand on my knowledge and experience within the field. I have participated in webinars and trainings in order to stay up to date with current marketing trends.”

Have you volunteered, or are you currently volunteering, in support of the Alaska Chapter? “I haven’t volunteered yet, but would be interested in volunteering in the future.”
