How does membership in PRSA assisted you?

I’m so grateful for the network of support that PRSA offers, as well as the many opportunities to both be of service and learn more about the profession.  As I look forward to earning my APR in the future, I appreciate the depth of connection between communications professionals through PRSA Alaska, which has allowed me to benefit from others’ experience.

Communications and public relations work impacts every type and size of organization; and this work comes in so many forms.  Membership in PRSA shows the broad range of the work that we do and where it’s possible to go with our unique skill sets.

Additionally, national PRSA resources are outstanding, keeping us up-to-date on trends in our profession and ensuring we have the skills needs to succeed in a rapidly shifting environment.

PRSA Alaska Volunteering

I currently volunteer to be co-chair of the 2021 Publicity Committee for PRSA Alaska.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more and get additional experience with brand-new team members.  It’s an honor to serve the incredibly accomplished members of Alaska’s PRSA chapter.
