PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting in all facets in the public relations department as well as supporting the goals of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Assists the Public Relations department in all associated functions including, but not limited to, community events, member appreciation events, chamber events, community council meetings, and employee events.
- Conducts research for the department, manager, and/or director.
- Files documents, photos, news clippings, or digital content.
- Responsible for sections of digital newsletter.
- Assist in media tracking and development of social media content.
- Assists in development of member messaging and information and the production of informational materials.
- Pulls and compiles information for digital newsletter.
- Assist with community and member appreciation events.
- General office work to include organization of PR materials and event supplies, and organization of digital files and storage.
- Promote a safety culture in which safety is a value. This culture is based on joint and individual engagement, ownership, and accountability regarding job safety and responsibility to perform work safely and adhere to safe work practices.
- Perform the essential functions of the position in a safe and efficient manner.
