The UAA College of Health seeks exceptional communications leaders for its communications director position, which is an integral part of the College of Health leadership team. This position plans, implements and manages communications activities for the college, which is Alaska’s largest provider of health and social services degree programs.

The communications director is responsible for the college’s communications, marketing, student recruitment, and public/media relations efforts. The communications director also leads the college’s communications and recruitment staff. This position plays a key role in shaping the College of Health’s public profile, driving student enrollment in academic programs, and advancing other strategic priorities.

In addition to guiding the college’s communications activities, the communications director develops compelling content across a wide range of channels for promotional/advertising campaigns, internal communications, executive communications and other key functions.

The UAA College of Health is the University of Alaska’s hub for health- and social services-related academic programs and research. Through our 43 academic programs, our wide-ranging research initiatives, and our strong community partnerships, we have a pivotal role in training Alaska’s future health and social services workforce, and in improving health and well-being across the state.
