United Way of Anchorage and AARP Tax-Aide are recruiting now for volunteers for Free Tax Preparation Anchorage. No prior tax experience is necessary—you just need basic computer skills and a valid email address. Volunteers complete 40+ hours of combined classroom and online training, and take a certification test. Saturday training classes begin in November, and weekday classes begin in December. All materials are provided, and certified volunteers are asked to assist at prep sites throughout Anchorage Jan. 28 through April 18 (schedules vary).
