The Communications & Development Director, in close coordination with the Chief Executive Officer (“C.E.O.”), is responsible for creating and implementing annual fund development and communication plans. This full-time position leads, manages, and supervises the department staff and conducts recruitment, training, and evaluation to ensure implementation and achievement of the plan goals. The Director routinely evaluates the effectiveness of the department efforts as outlined in the plan goals and participates as a member of the Leadership Team to help guide strategic planning and overall direction of the company. The position serves as the primary point of contact with the media and engages in networking activities to develop collaborations and partnerships and works across urban and rural geographies throughout Alaska to strengthen communities and reduce disparities in rural Alaskan communities and other economically disadvantaged populations.
